Goal #1: Graduate Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelor’s Degree I am including this goal because it has been my goal for the last two years, and while this goal is all but a foregone conclusion, it’s not over until I actually receive my degree. I’m currently due to graduate in December 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership & Project Management. In order to graduate Summa Cum Laude, you need at least a 3.8 GPA, and I currently have a 4.16 GPA.
Goal #2: Getting Accepted into the Tron Program My first goal is to be selected by the organization I work with for what is called the Tron program. This is a military program that would allow me to take a twelve-week course on software development and then work for 6-9 months performing these skills on the job. If selected, I would start this class in March of 2023. Goal #3: Get Accepted into UVA Darden’s or Northwestern’s Kellogg Executive MBA Degree Program This goal is a little more tenuous since both schools are top schools in the country for business. I am applying to start in the Fall of 2023. I believe my hard work at ASU will pay off, and I’ll be accepted into one of the two programs. However, I am applying to more schools than just these two, but these are my top picks. Goal #4: Find a Position as a Project or Program Manager This is the whole reason why I decided to come back to school in the first place. I saw an opportunity do something more than I’m currently doing, and getting my degree was the first step. Depending on whether or not I’m accepted into the Tron program or not will dictate when I begin looking for work as a project manager. My contract is ending in March of 2023, and that was when I had initially expected first to find work as a project manager. If I get into the Tron program I will have to put a job as a project manager on hold until I’m completed which would be around March 2024.
